Dysart is a provision for pupils who have a range of severe and complex learning disabilities, from within the Royal Borough of Kingston and beyond.
This section provides key information including how the school spends the funding it receives, its policies and procedures, how student perform in exams and assessment, inspection information and the schools self-evaluation.
At Dysart we strive to provide a curriculum that is flexible, exciting and personalised that fits each and every one of our pupils rather than making our pupils fit the curriculum.
Dysart School is a special academy which provides 180 places for pupils and students aged 4-19 with severe and complex learning difficulties.
We see the mental health and wellbeing (MHWB) of our pupils, families and staff as a key priority at Dysart.
We endeavour to maintain clear communication between school and parents/carers.
At Dysart School we want all of our pupils to feel a part of both the school and the wider community.
At Dysart, we recognise the important role we play in supporting local provisions to fully include pupils, enabling those pupils to better access the curriculum and to achieve their full potential
Some of our Year 9 pupils went on an exciting adventure when they went on their Residential Trip to High Ashurst from 31 March – 2 April. Whilst there they enjoyed activities such as archery, a camp fire, exploring the woods, going along the high ropes and an obstacle course.
Thank you to all the staff who supported and organised this residential for our Year 9s this half term.
We can’t wait for more residentials next year.
