Creative Therapies

Creative therapies are part of the mental health and wellbeing offer at Dysart School.

Creative therapies (art therapy and drama therapy) are accessed by children and young people who would benefit from extra mental health and wellbeing support in addition to what is already offered within classes and the Nest.

Creative therapies are particularly useful for children and young people at Dysart because they utilize nonverbal forms of expressing and knowing. Both art therapy and drama therapy take place within the school day in specially designed and set up rooms. Click below to find out more about art therapy and drama therapy at Dysart.

You are rightly proud of your work around pupil wellbeing, and ensuring pupils are ready for learning.  This has enabled you to establish a calm and purposeful learning environment for pupils with considerable needs.
