Family Support

The Family Support team organise a wide range of opportunities for parents, carers and even siblings to get involved and connected to the school across the year- this can be in the form of information workshops on set topics such as toileting or sleep, sibling social events and coffee mornings for parents to catch up and socialise with other parents and school staff.

We have connections with many external agencies and support systems and have already helped many Dysart families with a huge range of queries and concerns; if we can’t help ourselves we can connect you with the right people to assist you.

We regularly help families in applying for blue badges, freedom passes, DLA payments and funding or grants for equipment, clubs and holidays. It is really important to us that families receive the support and assistance they need as we know that this in turn positively impacts our students too.

Our door is always open and the kettle is always on for an informal chat face to face or over the phone.

Family Focus

A word from the team- “Keep an eye out in the fortnightly school newsletter for our “Family Focus” section where we will share information we have gathered for things that are on offer to our families in the local community. We are always on hand for anyone requiring advice or guidance in finding support for their family or child, both in school and beyond.”
