Venus class have been hard at work creating Christmas shoeboxes for vulnerable children in our local community. The students used public transport weekly to visit a range of shops this term; they looked for the toy / items on their shopping list as well as alternatives when things didn’t go to plan! A big thank you to Nune, our parent volunteer for supporting our students on these trips.
Each student was able to create a fun filled box packed of items to donate and understood that these items were to be given as presents to others. To finish their boxes, they choose wrapping paper and helped wrap the boxes.
Everyone then climbed aboard the school minibus and strapped in the presents- ready to drop them off to Louise, who was one of the many volunteers who supported the charity Smiles2Smiles in collecting lots of items to be gifted. The volunteers at Smiles2Smiles were so touched and sent a huge thank you to our students, their parents and the school for their support!
