Transition Evening

On Thursday 6th October we held a Transition evening for the Families of our students in years 9 – 14 students. The event was extremely well attended by families of some Dysart and Bedelsford pupils, and it provided an opportunity for families to investigate future college provision and services available.

We had representatives from the following providers:

  • Orchard Hill College
  • Aurora (South Thames College)
  • Ambitious About Autism (West Thames College)
  • Nescot
  • RUILS (Independent Living Charity)
  • Mencap
  • Way2Work Apprenticeships

We had a lot of positive feedback from many parents and carers as they left, with the emphasis being that they felt less anxious about the next stage in their son or daughter’s future, post-19.

You are rightly proud of your work around pupil wellbeing, and ensuring pupils are ready for learning.  This has enabled you to establish a calm and purposeful learning environment for pupils with considerable needs.
