About Us

Dysart is a provision for pupils who have a range of severe and complex learning disabilities, from within the Royal Borough of Kingston and beyond.

This section provides key information including how the school spends the funding it receives, its policies and procedures, how student perform in exams and assessment, inspection information and the schools self-evaluation.

Curriculum

At Dysart we strive to provide a curriculum that is flexible, exciting and personalised that fits each and every one of our pupils rather than making our pupils fit the curriculum.

Admissions

Dysart School is a special academy which provides 180 places for pupils and students aged 4-19 with severe and complex learning difficulties.

At Dysart School we want all of our pupils to feel a part of both the school and the wider community.

Outreach

At Dysart, we recognise the important role we play in supporting local provisions to fully include pupils, enabling those pupils to better access the curriculum and to achieve their full potential

Teddy Tennis is a great hit

Teddy Tennis is proving very popular with students this year. Classes are timetabled for weekly sessions with the team in the hall.

After a gentle warn up, the students learn skills such as how to catch a ball and throwing it into the bucket to help them direct their throws to a target. Everyone is very enthusiastic about helping to gather up the balls at the end of each drill.

It is great to see the students building up skills that are developing hand- eye coordination and helping to learn basic techniques needed for tennis.
