Physiotherapy

At Dysart School children receive appropriate high quality individualised intervention and support to help them achieve improved outcomes. Children and families are provided with information and advice and children and young people have access to professional practice which is based on assessed need.

At Dysart Physiotherapy has four main aims:

  • To maintain joint quality and muscle strength
  • To promote physical function
  • To monitor equipment needs
  • To advise/train educational staff on appropriate physical management

Through the use of hydrotherapy, swimming advice, playground and soft play sessions, school activities, classroom exercise programmes and home visits, we ensure that pupils can achieve their aims.
