Dysart is a provision for pupils who have a range of severe and complex learning disabilities, from within the Royal Borough of Kingston and beyond.

Curriculum

At Dysart we strive to provide a curriculum that is flexible, exciting and personalised that fits each and every one of our pupils rather than making our pupils fit the curriculum.

At Dysart School we want all of our pupils to feel a part of both the school and the wider community.

At Dysart, we recognise the important role we play in supporting local provisions to fully include pupils, enabling those pupils to better access the curriculum and to achieve their full potential

Same destination different path workshop

Dysart School is proud to support local mainstream schools to develop their skills and help to create an inclusive curriculum in their setting. At a workshop run by our experienced staff at Dysart we explored how to use attention grabbing activities to meet national curriculum outcomes. The overall message from the workshop was ‘Same Destination Different Paths’ which highlights the need to think differently in how we deliver the national curriculum for children with additional needs. Feedback from our mainstream colleagues was incredibly positive.
