New sensory spaces are popular with pupils
Emerald Class have absolutely loved the opening of the new sensory and movement room at Discovery House. Pupils have been enthusiastically taking part in sensory circuits and exploring all of the new equipment available.
These sessions have supported pupils’ movement, focus and regulation, and have been a really positive addition to the school day. It has been lovely to see the pupils engaging so confidently and enjoying the opportunities this new space provides.
At the main site pupils have also been enjoying spending time in the newly developed sensory space on lower school corridor. It has quickly become a favourite for Pink Class in particular.
The room has provided lots of opportunities for calming, regulation and sensory exploration, helping pupils to feel settled and ready to learn.
