Local restaurant marks its 25th Anniversary with 25km Charity Walk

We were delighted to hear that The French Table restaurant chose to celebrate its 25th anniversary with a major community fundraiser in support of our school.

On Sunday 28th June, the team from The French Table walked 25km from Putney to Surbiton, marking 25 years since the restaurant first opened on Maple Road. The team chose Dysart School as the beneficiary of the event, with all funds raised going directly to support our learners.

The route followed the Thames Path and included stops at Richmond Bridge and Teddington Lock before finishing outside the restaurant where the walkers were welcomed back and invited to enjoy cake and a celebratory toast.

Staff and families also went along to cheer on the walkers and provided plenty of encouragement on the day.

Sarah Guignard, the owner of the French Table said, “To celebrate our 25 years at The French Table Surrey, we decided to go back to school with a sponsored walk. We aimed for 25 kilometres to represent our 25 years. We chose Dysart School, a local special needs school to raise money for. We walked from Putney Bridge to Surbiton and finished with bubbles and cake back at HQ. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who joined in, supported us along the way and donated generously. It truly means a lot and fills our hear with joy.”
