Festive wishes

On Monday 9th December, pupils were excited to visit Santa in his grotto at Chessington Garden Centre.

The visit started with a trip to the Christmas Creations room where the children were asked to draw their Christmas wish on a piece of paper which was then rolled and placed into a Christmas bauble. They filled the bauble with fairy dust and glitter and gave it a shake to activate the magic and then it was time to enter the grotto.

The exciting adventure into the grotto began with a magical walk through an enchanted forest full of fairies and woodland creatures this led them into an icy winter scene from Frozen where they were thrilled to meet Elsa, Anna and Olaf.

No grotto trip would be complete without a visit to see the reindeer before meeting Father Christmas in person!

Some of the children finished their trip with a visit to the aquatic and pet department to see the fish and guinea pigs before returning to school.

You are rightly proud of your work around pupil wellbeing, and ensuring pupils are ready for learning.  This has enabled you to establish a calm and purposeful learning environment for pupils with considerable needs.
