Dysart mum fundraising for Yorda Adventures!

Yorda offers after school club in addition to providing engaging and stimulating play projects for children and young people with severe learning disabilities.

Rosemary, one of our Dysart Parents has teamed up with her friend Louise to run 211 km (131 miles) between themselves – the equivalent of 5 marathons! They will complete the full 131 miles ahead of Christmas this year.

Like so many charities this year, Yorda have been hit hard by the impact of the pandemic. Ordinarily they would raise around £90k a year through various fund raising activities; this year they have only been able to raise £7k.

If you would like to sponsor Rosemary and Louise, please visit their fund raising page here –https://localgiving.org/fundraising/running-for-alexander/

Wonderfully there is matched funding available until Monday 9 November, making the funds raised go even further.

You are rightly proud of your work around pupil wellbeing, and ensuring pupils are ready for learning.  This has enabled you to establish a calm and purposeful learning environment for pupils with considerable needs.
