Dysart enterprise project banks money raised for trip
Pupils took a trip to the bank to deposit £160 in cash—money they proudly earned participating in one of the School’s enterprise projects.
To raise the cash, after discussing several ideas, pupils chose to make personalised friendship bracelets to sell to parents, students and staff. They gathered orders, selected colours, names and decorations and then created and delivered the bracelets—collecting the payments themselves.
Once the full amount for the trip had been raised, some of the pupils then went to the bank to deposit the money. The whole project provided a fantastic cross-curricular activity, helping them to develop literacy, money-handling, fine motor coordination, art and communication skills.
Congratulations to the pupils for raising this worthy sum of money and for following through with this visit to the local bank to make the cash deposit—a valuable life skill achieved with pride! The money raised will be put towards funding tickets for the end-of-summer-term trip to Legoland Windsor.
