Christmas Card Success

Well done to all our budding artists who have been busy creating Christmas Card designs. There have been some wonderfully creative pictures and it is not just us that think our pupils are a talented bunch because six of our pupils have been recognised in external Christmas Card competitions.

Dysart pupils swept the board in the Under-19 SEN category of Ed Davey MP’s Christmas Card competition, Aaron in Comet taking first prize, James in Apollo 1 came in second and third prize was won by Geoff in Saturn.

In the OHCAT Christmas Card competition, Joseph in Comet class was a runner up and received a framed certificate. There were over 200 entries from pupils in the 15 schools across the Trust which was judged by the artist, Doug Shaw.  Three other pupils were highly commended for their designs: Poppy and James in Apollo 1 and Alina in Apollo 2.

Well done to everyone who entered – what a creative and talented bunch of pupils we have!

You are rightly proud of your work around pupil wellbeing, and ensuring pupils are ready for learning.  This has enabled you to establish a calm and purposeful learning environment for pupils with considerable needs.
