Celebrating Black History Week

Black History Month has been celebrated in the UK for more than 30 years.

At Dysart, we celebrated Black History Week during the last week of half term.

In Ivory Class we talked about how everyone is different including that we use different ways of communication such as words and symbols etc., we wear different clothes, we eat different food and we speak different languages. We also discussed that it is ok if we want to play with our peers or on our own.  At the end we made the piece sign and decorated our classroom.

You are rightly proud of your work around pupil wellbeing, and ensuring pupils are ready for learning.  This has enabled you to establish a calm and purposeful learning environment for pupils with considerable needs.
