Building links with new neighbours

Dysart School’s Outreach Lead was delighted to build links with Signature at Surbiton who are building a new care home in Surbiton opposite the school’s main site.

They discussed ideas for possible collaborations including running a café at the care home, singing carols for the residents and work experience based around the home and were delighted to receive this feedback:

“It was a pleasure to visit Dysart School to learn more about the fantastic work taking place to support children and young people with SEND.

We were incredibly impressed by the school’s purpose-built facilities and the warm, inclusive environment they have created. It was wonderful to see the dedication and care that goes into helping every pupil thrive.

During our visit, we discussed opportunities for Signature at Surbiton and Dysart School to support on another, including work experience placements and other collaborative initiatives that could benefit our residents, pupils and the wider community.”

It is fantastic that both organisations are committed to building mutually beneficial partnerships and making a positive difference in the local community.
