A day of training for our LGB

On July 13th, we held a whole day of training for members of our Local Governing Body. We provided updates on the new ‘Rainbow’ curriculum and on how we assess pupils’ learning using Evidence for Learning, as well as updating LGB members on how the school is ensuring it remains GDPR compliant. In the afternoon, John Prior (OHC&AT Executive Head) spoke with LGB members about their different portfolio roles. We are delighted to welcome two new members to the Local Governing Body: Tony Williams and Carly Skilton. Both bring with them a wealth of experience and will ensure that the LGB continues to offer exceptionally high levels of support and challenge to the school’s leadership team, steering Dysart on to bigger and even better things.

You are rightly proud of your work around pupil wellbeing, and ensuring pupils are ready for learning.  This has enabled you to establish a calm and purposeful learning environment for pupils with considerable needs.
